Chris Turner

UK born guitarist Chris Turner began playing around the London scene in 1961, sharing stages with artists such as David Bowie, Peter Frampton, and Manfred Mann. Chris emigrated to Australia in 1970, and quickly became a staple on the Sydney scene. Joining Buffalo in 1975 led to stints with Rose Tattoo, FJ Holden, and Stevie Wright.

Over the ensuing years, he toured constantly and racked up critically acclaimed releases, including his 1988 album, Exile, co-produced with legendary Status Quo bassist Alan Lancaster. In 2020, Chris released his seventh solo album, Rock & Roll Man, and continues to perform as much as this Covid-festered scene will allow.
